Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BarnPage ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
BarnPage is a multi-tenant SaaS platform designed for riding barns, hosted on Microsoft Azure. The Service includes scheduling and lesson management, horse and rider management, community feed, video upload with MEGAN analysis where enabled by plan, manual lesson reviews, rider progress tracking, highlights, consent management, and member management with role-based access controls.
3. Beta and Early Access
Some barns may be invited to use BarnPage as beta or early access testers. Beta access means the Service may change as we improve workflows, wording, performance, and support processes. Features may be adjusted, limited, renamed, or removed during beta.
Data entered during beta is treated as real Service data and will be kept unless it is deleted through normal user action, barn owner action, or a support-request process described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Beta testers should not assume their barn data will be reset automatically.
Beta barns are responsible for inviting appropriate testers, reviewing consent settings before uploading or sharing media, and reporting issues with enough context for BarnPage to investigate.
4. Plan Tiers & Features
BarnPage offers multiple subscription tiers. Feature availability depends on your barn's plan:
Free ($0/month) - Scheduling, community feed, member management, horse and rider profiles, media uploads, progress tracking, highlights, leaderboards, and notifications for up to 20 members.
Starter ($29/month) - Everything in Free for up to 50 members, plus manual lesson reviews and scorecards.
Standard ($149/month) - Everything in Starter, plus video upload with MEGAN analysis (150 monthly MEGAN analysis quota) and unlimited members.
Premium ($299/month) - Everything in Standard, unlimited members, unlimited MEGAN analysis, and priority support.
Plan details and pricing may change. Contact [email protected] for current pricing information.
5. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are billed on a per-barn basis. To subscribe, upgrade, or manage your billing, contact [email protected]. Self-serve billing is coming soon. Your barn owner or manager is responsible for managing the barn's subscription.
6. User Accounts & Barn Memberships
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Each barn operates as a separate tenant with tenant-scoped access controls. You may belong to multiple barns, each with a different role. BarnPage supports nine roles: Owner/Admin, Barn Manager, Head Trainer, Assistant Trainer, Groom/Staff, Student Rider, Parent/Guardian, Horse Owner/Leaser, and Read-Only Family Guest.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users, including within the community feed or lesson reviews.
- Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
- Share another member's photos, videos, or personal information outside the platform without their consent.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other barns, accounts, or systems, or bypass role-based access controls.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without permission.
- Misrepresent your identity, role, or qualifications within a barn.
8. Content & Media
User-uploaded content: You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, lesson videos, posts, comments). By uploading, you grant BarnPage a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display that content within your barn as necessary to provide the Service. This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.
Media visibility and consent: Media visibility and approval are controlled by barn settings and role-based permissions. Users must respect consent records before sharing photos, videos, or personal information outside the intended audience.
Trainer-authored reviews: Lesson evaluations and feedback authored by trainers are associated with the trainer's account and the barn. Riders and their parents / guardians receive access to view evaluations relevant to them.
MEGAN-generated content: Content generated by MEGAN, BarnPage's AI-assisted video analysis feature, is provided as a draft only. MEGAN-generated content must be reviewed and approved by a qualified trainer before it is shared with riders or parents.
9. MEGAN Analysis Disclaimer
MEGAN (Machine Equestrian Guidance & Analysis Network) is an AI-assisted video analysis feature and a supplementary tool, not a substitute for professional riding instruction, coaching judgment, or expert assessment. Important limitations:
- MEGAN output is always a draft suggestion. The trainer retains full authority over all evaluations and feedback shared with riders.
- MEGAN-generated analysis does not constitute official judging, certification, veterinary advice, or any form of professional assessment.
- Accuracy is not guaranteed. All MEGAN outputs should be reviewed by a qualified trainer.
- BarnPage is not liable for decisions made based on MEGAN-generated suggestions.
10. Intellectual Property
The BarnPage platform, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by BarnPage. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
BarnPage is a barn management and communication tool. The Service is not a substitute for professional riding instruction, veterinary advice, or medical advice. BarnPage is not liable for decisions made based on information displayed in the platform, including MEGAN-generated suggestions, lesson reviews, or progress data. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BarnPage and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to BarnPage in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
13. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users, the Service, or BarnPage. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
