Recognition and Leaderboards
Manage leaderboards
Control leaderboard visibility, consent filtering, and review-level exclusions.
Leaderboards are optional barn recognition tools. They should be used only when they fit the barn culture and consent expectations.
Leaderboard generation respects barn settings, consent records, minor privacy settings, and trainer review exclusions.
Before You Start
- Leaderboards must be enabled in Settings > Recognition.
- Riders need progress snapshots with scores in the selected window.
- Consent and minor privacy settings should be reviewed before publishing or sharing rankings.
Steps
- 1Open Settings > Recognition and confirm Leaderboard enabled is on.
- 2Review leaderboard mode and minors in leaderboard settings.
- 3Check consent records for riders who may appear.
- 4When reviewing a lesson, mark exclude from leaderboard if that lesson should not affect rankings.
- 5Generate or refresh leaderboard snapshots after the relevant progress data exists.
- 6Review the leaderboard before using it for barn-wide recognition.
What affects rankings
- If leaderboards are disabled, BarnPage does not generate or display leaderboard data for the barn.
- Riders with revoked leaderboard consent are excluded.
- When minors in leaderboard is disabled, minor riders are excluded unless guardian consent is granted.
- Trainer reviews marked exclude from leaderboard remove the related lesson or video snapshot from leaderboard generation.
- Custom progress dimensions can be used by leaderboard categories when snapshot data contains those scores.
Leaderboard modes
- Progress First emphasizes growth, improvement, and deltas before overall rank.
- Friendly Competition shows a classic rank-first table with medals and scores.
- Private Tracking keeps leaderboard-style data staff-only for coaching and planning.
- Barn Celebration turns leaderboard data into recognition cards instead of rank-first standings.
Review-level exclusion
- Use exclude from leaderboard when a lesson should count for feedback but not ranking.
- Common reasons include warm-up rides, unusual horse assignments, recovery rides, incomplete video, or a training context that would make ranking unfair.
- The exclusion applies to snapshots connected to that review, not to the rider forever.
Troubleshooting
The leaderboard page is empty.
Confirm leaderboards are enabled, progress snapshots exist in the selected window, and riders are not filtered out by consent or minor privacy settings.
A specific lesson should not affect rankings.
Open the trainer review for that lesson or video and mark it excluded from leaderboard before generating the leaderboard snapshot.
A rider is missing from rankings.
Check leaderboard consent, minor status, active rider profile status, and whether their scored review was excluded from leaderboard.
