Recognition and Leaderboards
Manage highlights and recognition
Configure highlight categories, nominate riders or horses, and award recognition safely.
Highlights recognize standout rider, horse, and partnership moments inside the barn.
Highlight behavior is controlled by barn settings. If highlights are disabled, nominations, generated candidates, awards, and highlight lists are unavailable.
Before You Start
- Highlights must be enabled in Settings > Recognition.
- The category you want to use must be enabled for the barn.
- Rider nominations require an active rider profile. Horse of the Week nominations require an active horse.
Steps
- 1Open Settings > Recognition and confirm Highlights enabled is on.
- 2Select the highlight categories your barn wants to use.
- 3Open Highlights and choose Nominate a Highlight for manual recognition.
- 4Choose the category, rider when required, horse when relevant, and a clear reason.
- 5Review pending candidates from the highlight management page.
- 6Approve, suppress, or award the candidate after checking that it matches barn policy and consent expectations.
Supported categories
- Most Improved
- Strongest Consistency
- Best Turn of the Week
- Best Recovery After Jump
- Partnership Moment
- Effort & Progress
- Horse of the Week
- Confidence Building Moment
How candidates are created
- Trainers and staff with lesson scoring permission can submit nominations.
- MEGAN video analysis can suggest highlight candidates when highlights are enabled and the suggested category is enabled.
- Progress-based generation only creates candidates for enabled categories and avoids duplicating the same rider, horse, category, and window.
Award behavior
- Awarding a candidate creates a highlight award and marks the candidate as awarded.
- Rider-linked awards use the rider user account, even when the nomination started from a rider profile.
- When a rider-linked award is created, BarnPage sends an in-app highlight notification to that rider.
- Horse of the Week can be awarded without a rider when the recognition is for the horse rather than a specific person.
Troubleshooting
A category does not appear when nominating a highlight.
The category is probably disabled in Settings > Recognition. Enable the category or choose one of the configured categories.
Horse of the Week cannot be submitted.
Confirm Horse of the Week is enabled and select an active horse. A rider is optional for this category, but a horse is required.
A rider does not receive the award notification.
Confirm the award is linked to the rider user account and that the rider has an active barn membership. Horse-only awards do not notify a rider.
