Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot a parent who cannot see a child rider

Check barn context, parent links, rider profiles, memberships, and permissions when a child is missing.

Parent/GuardianOwner/AdminBarn Manager

Parent and guardian access depends on a link between the parent account and the child rider profile in the same barn.

If a child is missing, the account may be in the wrong barn, the child may not have an active rider profile, or the parent link may not exist yet.

Steps

  1. 1Confirm the parent is viewing the correct barn in the barn switcher.
  2. 2Confirm the parent accepted the invitation for that barn and has an active Parent/Guardian membership.
  3. 3Open Riders and confirm the child has an active rider profile in the same barn.
  4. 4Open the child rider profile and confirm the parent or guardian account is linked.
  5. 5Confirm the parent is signing in with the same email address that was linked.
  6. 6If multiple children are linked, use the child selector where available.
  7. 7Refresh the parent dashboard or progress page after changing links.

Troubleshooting

The parent sees one child but not another.

Link the missing child rider profile to the same parent account and confirm both rider profiles are active in the current barn.

The parent link exists but progress is empty.

Progress may not exist yet. Confirm the child has published reviews or progress snapshots.
