Barn Setup
Build and publish a public barn page
Create a first-class public barn presence with programs, photos, visitor details, contact options, and BarnPage-hosted inquiries.
The public barn page builder lets owners and managers create a section-based public online presence for families, riders, boarders, and prospects.
Quick Setup can create a starter draft in a few minutes by asking about barn goals, audience, disciplines, location, contact details, tone, and theme.
Only details entered in the public page builder can appear publicly. Private rider, schedule, video, member, and progress data is not shown.
Drafts stay private until an owner or manager publishes the page. If public messages are enabled, visitor inquiries are stored in BarnPage and sent to the inquiry inbox. MEGAN can draft copy suggestions, but owners and managers must review and save them before they appear publicly.
Steps
- 1Open Settings, then Public Page.
- 2If you are starting from scratch, choose Quick setup and answer the guided questions. BarnPage will seed starter copy, programs, FAQs, visitor notes, contact details, theme, and calls to action.
- 3Choose a site type template such as Lesson Barn, Boarding Facility, Training & Show Program, Camp / Clinic, Classic Stable, or Link-in-bio Mini Site. Templates set the page strategy, section order, default visibility, layout style, recommended theme, sticky navigation, and starter CTA.
- 4Review the template guidance and Premium polish checklist. Some templates need specific inputs to feel complete, such as trainer bios for Training & Show, care/facility details for Boarding, or dates and arrival details for Camp / Clinic.
- 5Choose a preset color theme, customize colors with the color picker, or use Import from logo to generate a non-AI palette from the uploaded barn logo.
- 6Add a headline, short description, SEO title/description, and barn story so visitors understand your program and culture.
- 7Add custom buttons, program cards, services, disciplines, amenities, trainer highlights, trust signals, testimonials, FAQs, visitor notes, hours, map link, website, public video, and social links.
- 8Optionally ask MEGAN to suggest copy, program cards, FAQs, SEO text, and visitor notes. Review the suggestions and apply only the pieces you want, or apply all suggestions at once.
- 9Upload only photos that are safe and approved for public display. Choose the gallery display style in Website sections: grid, slideshow, or featured. Replace raw file-name captions with real captions or leave captions blank; raw file names are hidden from the public page.
- 10Optionally add a public YouTube or Vimeo video. Private BarnPage lesson videos are not used automatically on public pages.
- 11Decide whether to enable Message the barn. When enabled, public messages appear in the inquiry inbox for users with public page permission.
- 12Save the draft, use Save and preview to open the authenticated draft preview in a new tab, then publish when the page is ready. If required polish items are incomplete, BarnPage warns before publishing so owners can avoid making an unfinished page public.
- 13Use View public page and Inquiry inbox to check the live page and incoming messages after publishing.
What can appear publicly
- Headline, story, SEO copy, custom buttons, program cards, service tags, trainer highlights, disciplines, amenities, trust signals, testimonials, FAQs, visitor notes, hours, location, map link, contact details, social links, public-page photos, and public YouTube/Vimeo videos.
- Section order, section visibility, and section layout choices configured in the builder.
- Quick Setup starter content after an owner or manager applies it to the draft.
- BarnPage-hosted inquiry forms when Message the barn is enabled.
- Only content entered in the public page builder, not private barn data.
What stays private
- Private rider records, parent links, member lists, schedules, lesson videos, feedback, progress, feed posts, and internal media.
- Lesson videos and private BarnPage media unless staff separately add a public-safe external video URL or public-page photo.
- Any public-page inquiry is visible only to authorized barn users inside BarnPage.
- MEGAN suggestions until an owner or manager explicitly applies, saves, and publishes them.
