Learn what each video status means and what to do when upload, processing, MEGAN, or publishing is delayed.

Lesson videos move through several steps after upload. A delay does not always mean something is broken.

The common flow is upload, finalize, transcode, frame extraction, moment detection, MEGAN readiness or review, trainer approval, and publishing.

Common statuses

  • Uploading or finalized: the browser upload is completing or the app is preparing the video job.
  • Processing: the worker may be transcoding the video, extracting frames, or detecting moments.
  • Ready for MEGAN analysis: the video has enough processed data for trainer review or analysis workflow.
  • Pending review or in review: a trainer needs to review, edit, approve, or publish feedback.
  • Published: rider or parent access may be available according to tags, parent links, and permissions.
  • Failed: staff may need to retry jobs or contact support with the video and lesson details.

Before contacting support

  • Refresh the video status page.
  • Confirm the upload tab stayed open until upload and finalization completed.
  • Check whether the video file is unusually large or from an unsupported format.
  • Ask a staff member to retry failed jobs when the retry action is available.
  • Collect the barn name, lesson, video title, approximate upload time, and current status.

Troubleshooting

The video never leaves processing.

Wait a few minutes for larger files, then refresh. If it still does not move, use the retry action if available or contact support with the video details.

The video is published but the rider cannot see it.

Check rider tags, parent links, review publishing status, and video access permissions. Processing and visibility are separate checks.
