Create a lesson

Schedule a single lesson with date, time, arena, trainer, riders, and optional horse assignments.

Lessons are the core schedule item in BarnPage. A well-filled lesson record gives trainers, riders, parents, and staff the information they need.

Before You Start

  • At least one active trainer or staff member should exist if the lesson needs a trainer.
  • Arenas and rider profiles should be set up before scheduling at scale.
  • Assistant Trainers need the barn Scheduling setting enabled before they can create schedule items.

Steps

  1. 1Open Schedule.
  2. 2Choose New Lesson.
  3. 3Enter title, date, start time, and end time.
  4. 4Select trainer, arena, riders, and capacity details as needed.
  5. 5Assign horses when the lesson plan requires it.
  6. 6Review conflicts before saving.
  7. 7Save the lesson and confirm it appears on the calendar.
