Manage BarnPage email announcements
Understand product announcement emails, turn them off or back on, and know what STOP does.
BarnPage email announcements are product and feature updates sent by BarnPage. They are separate from announcements posted inside a barn and from transactional messages such as verification codes, password resets, invitations, schedule changes, and supported reminders.
New accounts start with BarnPage email announcements enabled. Account holders can change the preference at any time from Notification Preferences.
Some announcement recipients may not have a BarnPage account. For those addresses, selecting STOP removes the address from the standalone announcement list.
Steps
- 1To manage an account preference, sign in and open Notifications, then Notification Preferences.
- 2Use the BarnPage email announcements switch to turn product and feature emails on or off.
- 3To stop announcements from an email, select STOP in the footer. The link is specific to that recipient address.
- 4For an account address, STOP turns off the same account preference shown in Notification Preferences.
- 5For an address without an account, STOP removes the address from the standalone announcement list.
- 6Account holders can re-enable announcements from Notification Preferences. A person without an account can contact support or create an account with the same email to manage future preferences.
What STOP does not disable
- Verification codes, password reset links, barn invitations, and other account security email.
- Supported lesson, schedule, review, or reminder emails controlled by notification preferences.
- Announcements posted by a barn inside BarnPage.
Privacy and recipient handling
- Announcement messages are sent individually with one visible recipient.
- Each STOP link is tokenized for the recipient address and can be used without signing in.
- A standalone address is removed rather than retained as a separate opt-out contact.
Troubleshooting
STOP was selected by mistake on an account email.
Sign in, open Notification Preferences, and turn BarnPage email announcements back on.
A product announcement still arrived after STOP.
Confirm it was a BarnPage product announcement rather than a transactional or barn notification. If another announcement arrives for the same address, contact support with the subject and delivery time.
A non-account address wants to receive announcements again.
Contact support from that address, or create a BarnPage account with the same email and manage the preference from Notification Preferences.
