Barn Setup

Understand plan rider limits and billing

Know how plan tiers, rider limits, MEGAN analysis quotas, and admin overrides affect a barn.

Owner/AdminBarn Manager

Plan settings control which paid capabilities are available and how many active riders the barn can have.

BarnPage supports default rider limits by tier and admin-configurable overrides for special cases.

Steps

  1. 1Open Settings and review Plan & Billing to confirm the current tier.
  2. 2Check current rider usage before inviting or creating a large rider group.
  3. 3If the barn needs a special rider limit, review the admin barn settings page.
  4. 4Confirm MEGAN analysis quota separately when enabling Standard or Premium workflows.
  5. 5Communicate plan changes before adding riders or starting MEGAN analysis at scale.

Default tier limits

  • Free supports up to 5 riders and includes core scheduling, members, progress, feed, media, highlights, and notifications.
  • Starter supports up to 20 riders and adds manual lesson reviews and per-rider scorecards.
  • Standard supports unlimited riders and adds video upload with MEGAN analysis using the monthly analysis quota.
  • Premium supports unlimited riders and removes the monthly MEGAN analysis quota.

Admin overrides

  • Admin users can configure a barn-specific rider limit override from the admin barn settings page.
  • An override can set a specific rider cap or mark the barn as unlimited regardless of tier.
  • MEGAN analysis quota remains separate from rider limits and should be reviewed when changing paid access.

Troubleshooting

A student rider invite or rider profile fails because the barn is at its limit.

Check the barn tier, active rider count, invited student riders, and any admin rider-limit override. Upgrade or adjust the override before adding more riders.

MEGAN analysis is unavailable even though the barn has unlimited riders.

Rider limits do not control MEGAN analysis. Confirm the plan supports MEGAN analysis and that quota remains available unless the barn is Premium.
