Preview the dashboard as another role
Use role preview to understand what different users see without changing your own permissions.

Role preview helps owners and managers inspect the experience for students, parents, staff, and other barn roles.
Preview mode changes dashboard layout and navigation context. It does not transfer private records from another person to your account.
Before You Start
- You need a role with access to role preview options.
- The barn must have the target role enabled for preview.
Steps
- 1Open the role switcher from the sidebar, mobile More menu, or account area.
- 2Choose the role view you want to preview.
- 3Review the dashboard, navigation, and available actions.
- 4Use the preview banner to return to your assigned role.
- 5Avoid using preview mode as a substitute for member permission changes.
