Use MEGAN Arena Prep
Generate Premium trainer-only arena setup drafts for all Ringside lessons and blocks in a day.
MEGAN Arena Prep is a Premium-only trainer planning tool in Ringside Arena Mode.
It reviews the day’s lessons, arena details, calendar blocks, riders, horses, and recent trainer-approved MEGAN exercise suggestions when available.
Inputs can include all lesson titles, lesson types, date/times, arena assignments, free-text lesson descriptions, Ringside lesson notes, calendar block titles/descriptions, arena surface, required width and length, capacity, lights, notes, rider levels, rider disciplines, rider goals, horse assignments, and recent trainer-approved MEGAN exercise suggestions.
If no recent approved MEGAN exercise history is available, Arena Prep creates a lower-confidence baseline from rider level, rider discipline, lesson type, arena details, and lesson notes.
Baseline plans should stay conservative and low-impact, favoring flatwork, transitions, cones, figures, spacing markers, and poles on the ground while avoiding jumping, grids, oxers, repeated efforts, or conditioning-heavy work.
Arena Prep shows one starting layout diagram first, then lesson-specific updated diagrams when a lesson changes the physical layout. Diagram elements are color-coded by equipment type and repeated patterns such as pole lines or cone serpentines are expanded from structured layout instructions.
Diagrams use a standardized 1:2.17 visual arena for readability. The barn’s real arena dimensions are still used for safety and spacing context, but not to stretch the drawing.
It drafts one shared base arena layout for the day, then lists minor lesson-by-lesson modifications such as raising a cross rail, changing to an oxer, adding poles, or moving an element slightly.
Modifications are stateful: a change made for one lesson is assumed to remain in place for the next lesson unless the plan says to move it back.
Steps
- 1Open Ringside.
- 2Switch from Lesson Mode to Arena Mode.
- 3Review the day’s lessons and calendar blocks grouped by arena.
- 4Use the Arena view switcher to focus on one arena when the barn has multiple arenas.
- 5Tap Arena Prep.
- 6Review the shared base setup, starting diagram, carry-forward assumptions, safety notes, and fallback plan.
- 7Use MEGAN Ringside on an individual Arena Mode lesson to see arena changes first, then an arena-aware lesson plan based on the current setup state.
- 8Adjust everything for footing, weather, horse/rider readiness, equipment, and trainer judgment before using it.
Troubleshooting
Arena Prep shows a baseline plan.
That means recent approved MEGAN exercise history was missing or sparse. Review the conservative plan carefully and adjust for horse fitness, footing, and trainer judgment.
A lesson was added or moved after Arena Prep was generated.
Run Arena Prep again so the setup and lesson modifications reflect the current schedule.
The setup does not fit the ring or footing.
Treat Arena Prep as draft prep only. Use the fallback plan or simplify the layout before teaching.
The diagram spacing does not match the real arena.
Use it as an approximate visual reference only. Confirm distances, footing, and safety before setting equipment.
