Use the rider hub for feedback, videos, goals, and progress

Understand how BarnPage keeps lesson feedback, videos, goals, and progress together for each rider.

The rider hub is the private place where riders and linked parents can return to the information their trainer has shared.

Authorized trainers decide what becomes visible through the review workflow. Draft reviews, MEGAN suggestions, Ringside plans, and Arena Prep stay private until an appropriate review is published.

Private lesson-journal plans and coaching notes remain limited to Owner/Admin, Head Trainer, and Assistant Trainer access. They do not become rider or parent content automatically, even when a separate review is published.

The hub brings together lesson feedback, lesson videos, rider goals, focus areas, progress history, highlights, and barn updates when the rider or parent has access.

A managed rider without an assigned account still keeps the same lesson, review, video, and progress history, but cannot sign in to a rider hub. Linked parents can use their normal scoped access.

Private lesson-journal plans and coaching notes appear only in the authorized trainer view of the rider profile, not in the rider or parent hub.

Steps

  1. 1Create or activate rider profiles with goals, disciplines, and the right parent links.
  2. 2Schedule lessons with the rider, trainer, horse, arena, and lesson context.
  3. 3Publish manual feedback or reviewed MEGAN video feedback.
  4. 4Publish reviews with scorecards when the lesson should add a quantitative progress snapshot.
  5. 5Before expecting a rider or parent to see media or feedback, confirm the video is connected to the right rider, the feedback is published, family links are correct, and sharing preferences allow it.
  6. 6Direct riders with assigned accounts and linked parents to their dashboard, schedule, feedback, videos, and progress views for rider follow-up.

What belongs in the rider hub

  • Published trainer feedback and rider-friendly summaries.
  • Lesson videos the rider is tagged in or otherwise has access to.
  • Goals, focus areas, scorecards, and progress trends.
  • Schedule context, announcements, highlights, and barn updates when enabled.

What stays private

  • Private lesson-journal plans, rider coaching notes, draft reviews, and in-review MEGAN output.
  • MEGAN Ringside plans and Arena Prep plans. Trainers may separately use appropriate context when writing a review, but the plans themselves are not published.
  • Other riders, horses, schedules, videos, or progress records that the member role cannot access.

Troubleshooting

A rider or parent cannot see feedback.

Confirm the review is published, the rider is tagged or linked correctly, the parent link exists if needed, and the member is viewing the correct barn.

Progress is empty.

Confirm a published review or progress snapshot exists for that rider and that the rider profile is active.
